This week, the added feature should be available on all smartphones. It’s worth noting that blocking was previously available, but only after contacting Spotify customer service. The new feature is now directly available on the application, both on a mobile device or a PC.

Buzzfeed News, according to sources, undertook an in-depth investigation into Spotify abuse in 2018, stating that subscribers were harassed and threatened as a result of their listening behaviour. Users have been asking for a means to block someone instantly for quite some time. Despite the fact that it wasn’t formally on the product roadmap and had no estimated release date at the time; the company classified a block feature as a “good idea.”

Here’s How to Block Users on Spotify

The first step in blocking someone on Spotify is to go to their profile page. Choose the Block option after tapping the three-dot symbol. The option is simply labelled “Block” on the web browser, whereas it is labelled “Block user” on smartphone apps. The feature is available on both Android and iOS devices. Blocked users who will no longer be able to access your profile or view your public information. Simply follow the exact steps indicated above to unblock someone.
