Apple has recently released the iOS 15.2 beta 2 versions. The latest version includes lots of new changes and improvements to a number of applications and system-related applications. One of the features is the ability to detect any sneaky Apple AirTags that may have been put on you with harmful intents.

Apple AirTags “Items That Can Track Me” Feature
In April, Apple AirTags, which are tiny white pucks that are attached to items to allow users to track their items, was launched. However, these tracking pucks might occasionally make your location and privacy exposed, allowing others to track you, which sounds frightening. Apple has modified the Find My app and added a new option to the “Items” section in the new update, according to MacRumours. “Items That Can Track Me” is the name of the new option.

If a user is sceptical or curious in general, they can hit on the option; and the app will list all of the nearby devices. After identifying the devices, the Unknown Items feature gives you information on how to deactivate/ disable the Apple AirTags so that it can no longer track you. Another change the company has made is that the “Identify Found Item” option has been renamed “Help Return Lost Items”. The purpose, however, remains the same; it allows a user to connect with neighbouring devices and communicate with the device’s owner in order to return a lost item.
Along with the ability to search for and disable nearby devices; Apple also provides accessibility to the data that the user is knowingly or unknowingly exchanging with a third-party application. Users can check the exact data that is provided by applications; even if it is an Apple app, through the “App Privacy Report”. The iOS 15 Developer Beta Profile is currently rolling out the Beta 2 version to registered developers; which means the update will only appear on phones that are part of the iOS 15 Developer Beta Profile. It will be available to the general public soon.
