Realme 14 Pro Plus Design And Build
Realme 14 Pro Plus has a unique colour-changing design on the back. When the phone is immersed in cold water or if the outside temperature is less than 16 degrees, it changes colour to a slight blue from white.
The phone has a large circular camera module on the back surrounded by a golden ring. You get a triple camera setup alongside the new triple LED flash. Furthermore, the Pearl White colour of the Realme 14 Pro Plus that I have for review has a marble finish to it.

It is the 1st Realme phone with an IP68+IP69 rating and has a TUV Rheinland rugged smartphone certification with military shock resistance. The phone is also available in a vegan leather version. It weighs just 194 grams and is 8.29mm thick.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Camera
The Realme 14 Pro Plus packs a triple camera setup on the back. It has a 50-megapixel primary, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3x zoom and an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
It can take amazing photos during the day with plenty of details and saturation. I enjoyed taking pictures during my Realme 14 Pro Plus review. The 50-megapixel camera also comes in handy with 3x optical and 6x sensor zoom.

However, the 8-megapixel ultrawide angle sensor is average at best as it does not match the colour tuning of the primary. The 32-megapixel selfie camera can also capture good shots with plenty of detail and bokeh shots.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Battery And Charging
Realme 14 Pro Plus packs a massive 6,000mAh battery, which is great for the price. Thanks to the latest Silicon Carbide batteries, the phone packs a significantly bigger battery without affecting its overall thickness. The bigger battery can easily last an entire day on a single charge.

During my review of the Realme 14 Pro Plus, my usage included scrolling through Instagram reels, watching videos on YouTube and taking photos. You also get an 80W SUPERVOOC charger included in the box which can top it up 50 per cent in 24 minutes.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Display
The Realme 14 Pro Plus is the first phone in the series to sport a quad-curved panel. These panels are usually found in flagship phones and interestingly, the Realme 14 Pro Plus has a bigger screen than the Realme GT 7 Pro. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection.
It sports a massive 6.83-inch 1.5K quad curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a centre punch hole cutout and slim bezels on all four sides. During my review of the Realme 14 Pro Plus, I enjoyed watching content on it thanks to the Widevine L1 and HDR 10+ certification.

Using the phone outdoors is also not an issue since you get 1500 nits of peak brightness. There is also a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth scrolling experience.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Performance
Realme 14 Pro Plus is powered by the latest Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor This 4nm chipset is the successor to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 from last year. It is a cut-down version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and the same processor found in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus.
During day-to-day tasks, the phone remained smooth and fluid and I encountered no stutters. Thanks to the 12GB of RAM of the Realme 14 Pro Plus I had for review, most of the apps remained in memory. One interesting thing worth noting is that there are no app-opening animations if you open an app for the first time but if you exit and open it then animations are shown.

When it comes to games, you can play BGMI at HDR and Extreme (60 FPS) and CODM at Max and Max (60 FPS). Hopefully, it will receive 120 FPS or at least 90 FPS support in either game in the future.
Coming to benchmarks, the phone scores 811526 in the AnTuTu V10 benchmark. Furthermore, it achieves a stability score of 97.8 per cent in the 3D Mark Wildlife Stress and has a single core score of 1176 and a multi-core score of 3195 in Geekbench.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Software And UI
Realme 14 Pro Plus ships with Realme UI 6 based on Android 15 out of the box. The phone is set to receive two years of OS updates.
Sadly there is plenty of bloatware and preinstalled apps on board. You get Hot Apps and Hot Games, which you can disable if you want. The lack of app animations is surprising given it was one of the biggest changes introduced in Realme UI 6.

Realme has also joined the AI bandwagon with features like AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, AI Snap mode and AI Eraser 2.0. All of them work as advertised.
Hopefully, the company can catch up to the competition and start offering better updates with preferably less bloatware. Given it’s a 30K phone, it’s disappointing to see the presence of bloatware apps on the phone.
The Realme 14 Pro Plus has a unique colour-changing design and a capable triple camera setup on the back. It also has a massive battery and a unique colour-changing design on the back. You will still need to deal with the presence of bloatware, lack of NFC and only two years of OS updates.
You can also consider other options like the Vivo V40, Motorola Moto Edge 50 Pro, Realme GT 6T and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G. All these phones either offer better performance or superior cameras in the same segment.
