POCO C71 is a low-budget phone that offers excellent design and moderate features. This phone also impresses with its large display, smooth performance, and long battery life. I’m also excited because of its price of ₹6,499. However, one of the major setbacks of this phone is that it lacks 5G connectivity. Apart from this, let’s do a complete Poco C71 review to know whether it excels in every department. Moreover, is it a well-rounded experience for casual users who prioritize value for money or just a marketing stunt? Read my complete Poco C71 review to get the correct answer.

    POCO C71 Design And Build

At first glance, the Poco C71 doesn’t look like a budget phone because you will be immersed in its design. Perticluty, its Cool Blue colour, feel like a luxury phone because of its sleek and premium look.

Moreover, its dual colour shades of light gold and dark give me a different level of satisfaction.

    Poco C71 design and build

The back panel features a matte-textured finish. It also provides a secure grip, reducing the chances of accidental slips. This phone has just 193 grams and a body dimension of 171.8 x 77.8 x 8.3 mm dimension.

Poco C71 design  After the design, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is fast and reliable. One of the interesting things is that you can insert dual SIM and microSD at the same time.

The phone also carries an IP52 rating, meaning it can withstand minor splashes and dust. I like it because Poco manages to give an IP rating with just a tinny price.

So, my Poco C71 review for design is one of the best parts.

    POCO C71 Camera

The Poco C71 features a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 32MP primary sensor and an auxiliary lens. So, you get camera performance surprisingly well in daylight.

    Poco C71 camera setup

It captures decently detailed shots with good dynamic range. Moreover, its portrait mode works effectively, blurring the background while keeping the subject in sharp focus.

However, in low-light photography, the camera struggles. You can see grains in the image, and details are often lost in darker environments.

Moreover, it has an 8MP front camera, which offers decent selfies in good lighting but low quality in dim conditions. If I talk about video recording, you can record 1080p at 30fps.

However, there is missing stabilization, which means footage can be shaky. While the camera setup isn’t groundbreaking. So, the Poco C71 camera review is good for casual photography and social media use.

    POCO C71 Battery And Charging

Poco C71  has a 5200mAh battery, which can easily last a full day and a half with moderate usage. So, you can use it heavily, including video streaming and gaming.

I also use this phone for a full day without needing a recharge.

    Poco C71 charger

However, it includes a 15W charger that takes around two hours to fully charge the device. So, it is slower than some competitors offering 20W or higher charging speeds.

    POCO C71 Display

Poco C71 has a 6.88-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. So, it is also one of the biggest selling points of this phone. While it has a display resolution of 720×1600 pixels with 260 ppi density. I am also impressed with the 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and animations incredibly smooth.

    Poco C71 display

In comparison, top brand phones like the Apple iPhone 16 are still stuck on a 60Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness of 600 nits ensures decent visibility outdoors, though direct sunlight can still make the screen a bit hard to read.

    Poco C71 videos support

You can watch movies but not in excellent colours because display colours are vibrant, though not the most accurate. So, it might be a minor drawback for many of us who prioritize colour precision. However, the display only supports Netflix, and Prime Video will only play content in standard definition.

    Poco C71 video support

It’s because of Widevine L3 support. Moreover, if your hand is wet, you can use the phone. Wet touch support allows the screen to remain responsive even with wet fingers.

    POCO C71 Performance

Poco C71 comes equipped with the Unisoc T7250 (12 nm) processor, which is optimal for daily tasks. So, you can manage YouTube, Social Media and light gaming without demanding too much from the device.

This phone has kept the AnTuTu score at a respectable 265,000. Moreover, it comes with 4GB and 6GB RAM options along with virtual RAM. So, it is moderate for multitasking and could occasionally be hung with heavy apps. Its Geekbench scores are 440 in single-core and 1480 in multi-core.

The Poco C71 does fall short of expectations in gaming. Casual games such as Subway Surfers and Ludo King run at 60 fps with no issues, while BGMI (PUBG Mobile) sits comfortably at medium settings at 30 fps. If you are a competitive gamer, it would likely disappoint you.

    POCO C71 Software And UI

The Poco C71 runs on Android 15 based on HyperOS. But you will see some excessive bloatware.

So you can uninstall them. Otherwise, it will make your phone heavy.

The software experience is smooth, with minimal lag during navigation.

Poco has also promised a two-year Android update. Overall, the software experience is one of the phone’s strong points.

    Verdict

In the Poco C71 review, it isn’t a bad option if you want a budget smartphone. It gives a long battery life, solid build quality, and display performance. Even with its gaming and low-light imaging struggles, it’s worth its price. The phone is perfect for students and media consumers and is great for first-time smartphone users.

However, if you are hardcore gamers, you might be disappointed. The lack of advanced gaming capabilities stems from the inability to utilize demanding games. Additionally, if you need 5G capabilities, you’ll have to look at other options, as this phone only has 4G. There are a few phones you can compare it with, like Redmi 12CRealme C55Samsung Galaxy M04Tecno Spark 10 Pro etc. This comparison will help you to make a better buying decision.
