OnePlus has been expanding its range of phones, with additions for multiple budget segments. Finally, the company is ready to launch its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 10T, on August 3, 2022. The T-series and R-series from OnePlus have usually been a rehash of their numbered flagships. However, the OnePlus 10T will be the first T-series flagship from OnePlus since the OnePlus 8T, which launched in 2020. Multiple rumours surround the phone’s launch, design, and specs. In fact, some reports state that this could be one of OnePlus’ most powerful phones yet. This article will tell you everything you need to know about this upcoming Android flagship.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
Release date
The OnePlus 10T 5G will be globally launched on August 3, 2022, at an event held in New York. The phone’s launch timing is slated to be at 7:30 PM IST. This is slightly surprising, as most of OnePlus’ T-series models have usually launched either in September or October of that particular year. However, OnePlus seems to have moved up the release date this time around. The T version of a specific OnePlus phone tended to launch six months after the release of a numbered flagship. By 2021, this release schedule changed and became slightly difficult to predict.
In some countries, the OnePlus 10T is being marketed as the OnePlus Ace Pro. Regardless of the name change, the OnePlus 10T and OnePlus Ace Pro are stated to have no change in their specifications and design.

Tipsters are an important part of the mobile phone industry, as they provide you with relevant information about the phones before their imminent launch. Bearing this in mind, reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) has stated that the OnePlus 10T will be one of the most beefed-up phones from OnePlus yet. The company has also confirmed that they will provide the phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Additionally, the phone will feature a 6.7-inch FHD + AMOLED display panel, complemented by a 120Hz refresh rate. OnePlus has kept the phone’s battery size standard, with a 4800 mAh battery powering the phone. If you love haptic feedback on your mobile device, you’re in luck. The OnePlus 10T will include a dual linear motor to ensure crisp haptic feedback. However, you’ll likely have to compromise on wireless charging.
The flagship offering is also slated to support LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of charging speeds, the phone will come with a massive 150W fast charging capability. While this sounds great on paper, 150W is a supremely high wattage charging capacity. Hopefully, OnePlus does enough to ensure that this high power surge will not damage the phone in the long run.
To accommodate this faster charging system, OnePlus might be doing away with its signature alert slider on the device. The device’s renders also show that there’s no “Hasselblad” logo on the camera. Specs-wise, the phone will have a triple camera setup, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth camera. At the front, you’ll find a 16MP sensor for video calls and selfies. The rear camera will allow video capture at 4K and 60FPS. As for the front-facing camera, you’ll be able to take videos at 1080p and 30FPS.
Lastly, OnePlus should feature different colour and storage options for the phone. The flagship will be slightly on the heavier side, thanks to the 8.75mm thickness and 203.5 grams of weight.

Operating System
OnePlus is expected to provide its latest flagship with the latest OxygenOS 12, which is based on Android 12. OxygenOS 12 has been slightly polarising in the past, so it’ll be interesting to see if and how OnePlus makes any changes to its in-house user interface to make it more intuitive.
Variants
OnePlus hasn’t confirmed the different phone models and storage options yet. However, we know that the phone’s storage variants will start at 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Some leakers have suggested that the black-coloured variant of OnePlus 10T might even come with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. This hasn’t been confirmed yet, so we might have to wait until the phone’s official launch to know the details. The two colour options available for the phone are Jade Green, which could be the base variant, and Moonstone Black, the premium variant of the flagship.
OnePlus 10T Price
OnePlus hasn’t revealed the upcoming phone’s pricing yet, but it’s expected to start at around INR 49,999 for the base variants. However, considering the shortage of micro-processing chips around the world, there’s a good chance that the phone’s pricing may shoot up between INR 58,000 and INR 61,000. As you can see, the phone’s expected pricing has been quite a heated debate amongst fans and tech experts alike.
The phone can be preordered through Amazon, as OnePlus has partnered with the e-commerce website for its Indian target audience. Preorders for the phone start on the same day as the phone’s launch, August 3. You can check out the Amazon landing page here.
Summing up
OnePlus has been relatively quiet about the details of its upcoming flagship phone. Regardless, these few details of the OnePlus 10T are enough to set our expectations and increase the excitement until the phone’s global release on August 3, 2022. Keep an eye on this space as we’ll continue to provide updates on the phone as more details are revealed!
