For a very long time now, WhatsApp users have often wondered how to send long videos on WhatsApp. Search for the impossible has ended now as the popular social messaging platform has officially declared some good news. As of late, WhatsApp has been making the platform more and more user-friendly and stacked with all the most requested features.
The ability to send over long videos or files on WhatsApp is one of them. Now, the platform owned by Facebook-turned-Meta has announced a brand new group chat feature. This will basically allow WhatsApp users to soon be able to share large files to their contacts via the app.

Additionally, WhatsApp has also confirmed that an update is on the way for the application of the same. So, be on the lookout as this update can land anytime soon. Good thing is, you don’t have to constantly search for how to send long videos on WhatsApp or how to send full video on WhatsApp and other queries. That search ends now and you can actually send over files of up to a whopping 2GB soon.

WhatsApp took to their official Twitter page to state that, “In 2011 we introduced Group Chats, and we haven’t stopped improving since. In the coming weeks, we’ll roll out the ability to share files up to 2GB and add more people to your groups so you can continue creating and nurturing meaningful, private connections.”
At the moment, users can send over files of up to just 100MB on WhatsApp. That, or they can send over a 16MB video that lasts in between 90 seconds to 3 minutes. This severely restricts users from sending long videos on WhatsApp. Surely great news for everyone as that will be extended to 2GB pretty soon, now that there is official confirmation!
