WhatsApp will soon stop supporting iOS 10 and iOS 11-powered iPhones. Starting October 24, 2022, the corporation has opted to execute this. WhatsApp has claimed that it discontinues support for specific Android and iOS versions every year in order to provide new features to the programme that may be incompatible with a previous version of WhatsApp or the device’s operating system.

This has not happened for the first time we’ve heard that WhatsApp is discontinuing support for iOS 10 since a similar rumor surfaced last year but turned out to be false.
Following iPhones Will Face Issues With WhatsApp
Starting October 24, 2022, iPhone 5 and Apple iPhone 5c will no longer be able to operate WhatsApp. As long as they’re running iOS 12 or later, the Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 6, and Apple iPhone 6S will be able to operate WhatsApp without issue. To utilize WhatsApp, users with an iPhone 5S or higher should update to iOS 12 or higher right away.

The move comes just ahead of Apple’s 2022 WWDC, where the iOS 16 will be unveiled. To continue using WhatsApp, customers running iOS 10 and 11 (iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C) will need to upgrade to a new smartphone or switch platforms from iOS to Android. Fortunately, transferring WhatsApp chat history data from an iPhone to an Android phone is now much easier.
