Samsung recently launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable phones in July. However, those aren’t the only flagship models coming from the company this year. Samsung is rumored to be releasing a new foldable soon. Leaks show this phone could be called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. A leaked image has given us a first look at what it might look like.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition Design
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition leaks show it might look the same as the Z Fold 6. The main difference is that the Special Edition model seems to be thinner. When folded, it is said to be 10.6mm thick, and when unfolded, it could measure 4.9mm. For comparison, the standard Z Fold 6 is 12.1mm thick when folded and 5.6mm when unfolded.
Like the rumored Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, this Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition could have more rounded corners for a better grip. It also features a flat frame, with the volume rocker and power button located on the right side. The power button may double as a fingerprint sensor.

The front cover screen has a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera, but since the display is off in the leaked image. It’s hard to tell how thick the bezels are. The back of the phone shows a brushed aluminum finish, although there are rumors that the phone could have a glass back. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition leaks show a rear camera setup that includes a rectangular module with three camera sensors and an LED flash beside the main sensor.
Features and Specs
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition leaks reveal it will come with a 200MP main camera, offering significant improvement in photography. It’s rumored to have an 8-inch main display, with the cover screen measuring 6.5 inches. For comparison, the Z Fold 6 has a smaller 6.3-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch main screen.

As of now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition leaks mention it may be limited to China and South Korea, though nothing is confirmed yet. Reports suggest the phone could launch on September 25th, with a later release in China under the name Samsung Galaxy W25.
