The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition was officially launched in China on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. The smartphone is a tweaked version of the standard Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro model with a slightly different processor and camera. The device has three colour options and features a Snapdragon 778G SoC.

Price And Availability:
The smartphone is available in China at around CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 20,200) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. In contrast, the 8GB + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 21,400), and the 12GB + 256GB storage model costs CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,700). The smartphone is available in Midnight Black, Shimmer Green, and Time Blue colour options. Customers can purchase the product via Mi.com in China.
The company hasn’t made any announcement regarding the global launch of the smartphone as of yet.

The newly launched smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ OLED display. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support. The handset runs on Android-12-based MIUI 14 and supports dual sim usage. Additionally, the device features an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 778G processor and up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM.
Moreover, its triple rear camera setup consists of a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 sensor with an f/1.89 lens. Along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor with 119 degrees field of view and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Additionally, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats. It supports 256GB UFS 2.2 storage and connectivity options such as 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2 and a USB Type-C port.

Like the standard Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro model, the device has a 5,000mAh battery and 67W fast charging support. Moreover, the device also includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, acceleration sensor, e-compass, distance sensor, IR remote control, and gyroscope. Lastly, the newly launched smartphone weighs 181 grams and measures 162.91×76.03×7.9mm. Its display offers 1920Hz PWM dimming and a DCI-P3 colour gamut.
