The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G will be available in India on January 5, according to the company’s announcement on Monday. The Redmi Note 12 Series from the Chinese smartphone maker was released in China in October. Its lineup includes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G, and a recent teaser hinted that these phones might also be available in India.
According to a teaser poster on Twitter, the smartphone will be revealed in India on January 5, 2023. It’s said to include a 200-megapixel triple back camera array. The brand has already begun sending out media invitations for the event.
The Note 12 5G series was previously thought to be renamed as a Poco smartphone and sold in India. Poco India CEO Himanshu Tandon later tweeted that the rumours were false. The trailer also implies that the Note 12 5G series would retain its branding in India.

Specifications of Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus
The specifications for the Xiaomi Note 12 5G series India version will most certainly be revealed shortly, but information from the phone’s launch in China may hint at what to expect. The primary camera of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G has 200 megapixels, with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Furthermore, the smartphone has a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display that supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It has a 5,000mAH battery and 120W rapid charging. The Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro Plus will also have a MediaTek Dimensity 1,080 SoC. Moreover, the Note 12 will feature a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC.
The Note 12 Pro Plus 5G, along with the Note 12 and Note 12 Pro, was released in China in October. The 12 Pro Plus 5G costs CNY 2,099 (about Rs. 23,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
