Nokia 5.3 users are getting Android 11 updates in some regions including India as HMD Global has now announced its release. It’s released with Android 10, but Nokia says it’s up to Android 11 — although Android 11’s latest stable build was released over a year ago, in September 2020, Android 12 isn’t far away now. The smartphone was introduced globally in March last year while entering India in August.

A Nokia community forum staff member has announced that the Nokia 5.3 update for Android 11 is rolling out in certain countries. As with previous Android updates for Nokia phones, this Android 11 update is rolling out on waves and the first wave covers 13 regions including India. The list includes – Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Nokia 5.3 Specifications
With its 20:9 aspect ratio, Nokia 5.3 has a 6.55-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels). The phone has a Qualcomm 665 SoC octa-core, combined with up to 6GB RAM. The Nokia5.3 features quad rear cameras with a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 5 megapixel secondary capable with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens for images and videos.
The Nokia 5.3 features an 8 MP camera on the front for selfies. The smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Google Assistant Button. It has a battery of 4,000mAh and supports 10W charging.
