Garena Free Fire has rolled out their new OB29 patch and the update is gradually rolling out globally. However, it will take some time but eventually every player will get the update soon. The new update brings along several much needed balance changes alongside new maps, characters and guns to the game. Moreover, the update patch is called the 4nniversary (Fourth Anniversary) update of the game.
Garena Free Fire OB29 4nniversary Update: New Mode, Rank Season And More
The Garena Free Fire OB29 patch brings the Lone Wolf game mode. This is a 1v1 game mode which allows players to test out their skills with each other. The new game mode will be held in a new map which is called the Iron Cage. The map is specifically designed for 1v1 matches. Moreover, the brand new update also brings Season 8 of Clash Squad Rank Season, which will kick off from August 8. The new season will go on till September 29 and players who manage to grind till Gold III and above will receive the Golden AN94.

New Characters And Pet
The brand new Garena Free Fire O29 update brings two new characters to the game. The first character is named Dimitri and will come with an active skill called Healing Heartbeat. The other character goes by the name of Thiva who will come with a passive ability called Vital Vibes. From the looks of it, both the characters lean on the defensive side of gameplay and will definitely come in super handy.

Furthermore, the already existing characters in the game will receive certain buffs to make them viable in the battlefield again. The list of buffed characters include Luqueta, Jota, Alvaro and Shani. The abilities and skills of these characters have been increased significantly.
Besides, a new pet is also coming to Garena Free Fire and is called Sensei Tig. The new pet is based on a Tiger and grants an ability called Nimble Ninja. What this ability basically does is it allows you to reduce the duration of enemy’s man-marking skills.
Garena Free Fire OB29 4nniversary Update: New Weapon, Attachments And Weapon Balancing
Additionally, the new update also brings a marksman rifle to the game namely the AC80. This particular weapon is primarily designed to take down armoured opponents with its ‘Piercing Shots’ ability. The weapon comes with a base damage of 50 alongside a fire rate of 0.45. Furthermore, the M4A1 will get three new modifications namely X, Y and Z. Players can use an M4 Chip to upgrade the gun to any of these versions. The Chip will be available as a pickup item or can be purchased via vending machines spread across the map.

Besides, the UZI SMG, SPAS12 Shotgun, Vector SMG, XM8 Assault Rifle and M1887 Shotgun will also be getting rebalancing changes. Moreover, the Decoy Grenade has been upgraded to be more useful during intense situations. Garena Free Fire also brings new attachments to the game which include Shotgun Muzzle, AR Mag and SMG Muzzle. You can go through all the changes on Free Fire’s official website.
