iQOO 12 India Launch Confirmed, Will Use This Processor

Qualcomm recently announced its new chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will power many upcoming flagship phones. iQOO has taken the lead and announced that the iQOO 12 will be the first phone in India to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The phone will launch in China next month and possibly arrive in India soon.

iQOO 12 Will Be The First Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Phone In India

Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO India, revealed that the upcoming iQOO 12 will be the first phone in the country to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The phone will launch in China on November 7, but there is no information about its India release date.

The iQOO 12 and the iQOO 12 Pro will launch in China at 4:30 PM IST on November 7, followed by a launch in India soon. Qualcomm recently announced the processor at its Snapdragon Summit, and many upcoming flagship phones are likely to use the chip.

iQOO 12 Expected Specifications

According to previous leaks, the iQOO 12 will use an E7 AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 24GB of RAM. There could be a dedicated chipset for game frame interpolation to enjoy games up to 144 FPS.

In addition, the phone will have a metal body and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It could run on Origin OS based on Android 14 and ship with 1TB of internal storage. Although the iQOO 12 is likely to use FunTouch OS 14 in India

Regarding the optics, the iQOO 12 will have a 50-megapixel OV50H primary sensor and a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope lens. While there are no details about the other cameras, the ultrawide could be the same 50-megapixel camera as its predecessor. The image processing could also see an improvement thanks to the presence of the Vivo V3 ISP chip.

The iQOO 12 will pack a 4,880mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and come with a USB 3.0 port. Given that the iQOO 11 arrived in India a month after its Chinese debut, we can expect the iQOO 12 to launch in India in December or January.
