A recent tip reveals that iPhone 16 Pro models could feature faster memory, while the Apple iPhone 15 models may most likely come with similar hardware in the memory department to the Apple iPhone 14 series. The company has a record of making iterative upgrades in every new generation of iPhones. And it seems like its 2024’s lineup could feature improved memory and processing capabilities.

iPhone 16 Pro Models: Specifications (Expected)
A tweet by tipster ShrimpApplePro (@VNchocoTaco) reveals that the iPhone 16 Pro models will likely run on TSMC’s 3nm process-based A18 Bionic Chip accompanied by LPDDR5X RAM. The iPhone 16 lineup may include the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Ultra. Moreover, to recall the current Pro models of the iPhone 14 series use LPDDR5 RAM. In contrast, the non-pro variants use LPDDR4X RAM. As per the leak, the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup may not get any memory upgrade and will continue using the LPDDR5 RAM. Moreover, sources suggest that the iPhone 15 series lineup could feature A17 Bionic SoC based on TSMC’s N3B chip process.
While the lineup may not get any upgrade in the chipset department, however, tips reveal that it will get 8GB of RAM, an upgrade on the existing 6GB of RAM on the iPhone 14 series. These new upgrades will likely offer faster functionality and better multitasking capabilities in the upcoming iPhone models. Moreover, a leak suggests that the non-pro variants in the iPhone 15 lineup may feature a 48-megapixel primary sensor. And the company may finally bring the USB Type-C port to the iPhone 15.
