Users of Google Pixel 7 have been complaining recently that their smartphone’s rear camera module’s bar glass is randomly cracking. The Pixel 7 was launched with fantastic features such as the 4K capable front-facing cameras, tensor G2 chipset and much more. But a few months following its launch, some users complained that their camera glass cracked even though they hadn’t dropped it.
Users took to Twitter and Reddit to report the issue. A user tweeted -“Not even a month, no drops, just regular use. Have a case on the phone. Been told it’s my problem. Is this really the quality control backed by Google? It’s clearly a manufacturing defect, and I know I’m not the only one. Please fix this, Google! Similarly, a Reddit user pointed out the same problem.

What’s Causing The Google Pixel 7 Camera Glass Crack?
A Twitter user, Heydon Faber, posted an image that clearly shows that the glass surrounding one of the dual cameras is shattered. Precisely the one that was closest to the edge of the phone. The user also revealed in the tweet that his newly purchased Pixel 7 was facing issues despite being less than a month old.
Moreover, a user on Reddit reported that when he pulled out his Pixel 7 smartphone from his pocket. He saw that the rear camera glass of the smartphone was broken. After receiving these complaints, the company is yet to provide an official statement. However, this is not the first time users have faced problems with Pixel devices. Earlier too, a Twitter user Varul Mayank complained of dust accumulation inside the front camera of the Pixel 7 Pro. Previously some users faced issues with the Pixel 6 series under-display fingerprint scanner.
