One of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world, Xiaomi, is all set to upgrade its budget lineup of fitness bands. It is expected that the latest model of the fitness band, the Mi Band 6 will be released sometime before the end of August this year.
The exact release date remains unknown. Details about the Mi Band 6 are already making headlines thanks to a user spotting a code in the Zepp app. If rumors are to be true, the upcoming iteration of the fitness band will be available in two versions: one with NFC and the other without it.

SpO2 Sensor and Alexa Expected
The device is codenamed Pangu and is expected to retain the features offered by Mi Band 5. According to a Geekdoing forum, a user named MagicalUnicorn has speculated that the new version of the band will also sport a SpO2 as well as support for Alexa. The user also said that it will support 30 activity modes compared to the 11 found in the previous generation. Some of these activities include Cricket, Basketball, Kickboxing, and Zumba.
The SpO2 sensor is used to measure blood oxygen levels. Some higher resolution watch faces were also leaked which points towards a slightly larger display compared to the Mi Band 5. Also, a new icon pack means some new apps will also be supported. It is also expected that the Mi Band 6 will come with inbuilt GPS but some coding in the firmware suggests otherwise.
Last but not the least, the Mi Band 6 will be priced similar to the Mi Band 5.
