After numerous leaks seen regarding Xiaomi’s upcoming Android skin, the MIUI 12, the company has finally announced its plans to unveil the MIUI 12 along with Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G, on 27th April in China.
The news came out via the company’s post on Weibo where Xiaomi shared some teasers for both its upcoming products, the MIUI 12 and the Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G. The teaser however doesn’t hint about any of the features of the upcoming skin, but we do get an idea about the newest member of the Mi 10 series line-up.
MIUI 12
Previous leaks and rumours have hinted at the presence of an updated Navigation Bar and a revamped notification panel. The skin will resemble the stock Android 10 look which will take you to the home screen with a swipe on the bar and to the recent apps page via a swipe and hold gesture. This is aimed at an intuitive and easier multi-tasking and app access which almost every user found better on stock Android devices.
The notification panel also sees an update and now gets a grid-like design, which we think can be a hit or miss, mostly due to the fact that it looks too out-of-the-crowd. The camera UI will also get updated and will flaunt an optimized Dark Mode interface.

Mi Youth 10 5G
The Mi Youth 10 5G will surely not resemble the previously launched Mi 10 Lite, thanks to the teaser. As per the teaser poster, the device will feature a rectangular rear camera module which looks similar to the existing Note 9 Pro series. Also, the device will come in four colour options – white, golden, blue, and mint green.

Apart from this, there is no other information on the device. But we still expect the device to be generous when it comes to specifications. We are expecting an AMOLED panel along with a mid-range 5G chipset under the hood.
