Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2022 opening keynote is finally over now. The event was held on June 6, 2022, and will continue till June 10, 2022. The main focus of the keynote was to introduce and bring into light all the major software updates that Apple devices will be receiving. The Cupertino giant also mentioned the tons of new features and customizations that previous operating systems will be getting.

Apple WWDC Highlights: Important Updates
WWDC Highlights 2022: iOS 16
The WWDC started with the introduction of the iOS 16, an all-new software update for iPhone users. Users can experience a lot of lit features with this new iOS. The major ones include a customizable lock screen, Dictation, Advanced Maps, Apple Pay Later, Family Sharing and updates have been made to Home, Car Play, Messages, Sports, etc as well. With iOS 16, people can now send messages and undo them, edit any sent message and mark a thread unread too. iOS 16 will be made available in the coming fall.
Apart from that, macOS 13 Ventura, iPadOS 16, and watchOS 9 have been introduced too.
macOS 13 Ventura
The macOS 13 Ventura will come with better multi-tasking and security updates. Apple also added the Spotlight button on the home screen and you can now replace your built-in mac camera with your iPhone using the continuity camera option. With the Mail app, the option to unsend a message has been extended to 15 minutes. Apple also confirmed the powerful M2 processor that will be ideal for heavy gaming and fast sharing of files.

iPadOS 16
Next, in the WWDC highlights 2022, we have iPadOS 16. With the launch of this new software, collaboration would be fun and easy. You can use FaceTime to collaborate on the files and share the links with the video calling platform. Users will also be able to see other people’s contributions using the Freeform tool. The mail app has also got new smart tools. Furthermore, updates have been made to Safari, Weather, and Live Text tools too.

watchOS 9
The WWDC event further mentioned the highlights of watchOS 9- the new software for Apple watches. You can have four new watch faces, advanced running metrics, and better track of your health and sleep with this software.
Apple also confirmed that users can expect two new laptops- MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro in the coming months. The new MacBook Pro will come with the latest M2 chipset. Apple has also revealed the prices for both laptops.
- MacBook Air with M2 starts at Rs. 1,19,900 and Rs. 1,09,900 for education.
- The 512GB MacBook Air will cost Rs. 1,49,900.
- The 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 starts at Rs. 1,29,900 and Rs. 1,19,900 for education.
- The 512GB MacBook Pro will cost Rs. 1,49,900.
- The 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter will be available for Rs 5,800.
