The design for the Fold 5 is gorgeous, you certainly need to protect it with a cover as the design is delicate. Whereas the flat iPhone is a usual design from the iPhone 14 series, and you may or may not need a cover to protect it.

One more thing which you need to know is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 already weighs 253g, so putting a cover on it will add to the weight, making it a bulkier option as compared to the iPhone 14 Pro.
