Xiaomi 12 series launch rumours have surfaced quite a few times in the past few months. But in the last few weeks, the leaks and rumours circling around the series have increased. The company has already confirmed its plan to launch the series on December 28, 2021. Earlier this month, the series received a BIS certification and along with some other information leaking out.

Xiaomi 12 Display Teased
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the vanilla Xiaomi 12 will feature a customised 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080p) 10bit Huaxing flexible screen. Xiaomi recently revealed that the display of the vanilla variant has an A+ rating from DisplayMate. It is also reportedly the highest display performance rating given by the firm. This display is tipped to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Now, in a new teaser, the company has teased that the top-of-the-line Xiaomi 12 Pro will be the first smartphone with a second-generation 2K display. It claims to be more energy-efficient than the previous generation. Xiaomi boasts that this display will utilise the new E5 luminous material and second-generation LTPO material. The teasers also confirm that the device will sport a hole-punch display. There is a cutout at the top centre of the screen.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the display will have a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This is the toughest offering from Corning for smartphone displays. It will come with a peak brightness of 1600 nits, which is slightly less than the Mi 11 Ultra’s 1700 nits display.

As per previous reports, Xiaomi 12 will have a 6.2-inch screen, whereas the Pro model will have a 6.67-inch display. The screen is slightly curved to offer an immersive viewing experience.
