Earlier, WhatsApp introduced an official WhatsApp chat. Through this feature, users can get tips, view announcements, and get to know about the newest features. However, now WhatsApp is working on a mute shortcut. It is for group chats. This is a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta.
WhatsApp group chats have increased the number of people in a group. The group members can be up to 1024 participants and sub-groups for WhatsApp communities.

Mute Shortcut
So in accordance with this, the app is now working on a mute shortcut for group chats. It will be available in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta.
The mute shortcut can be seen within the header of group chats. It is only because of this shortcut. Now, it will be easier to disable notifications of messages that are received in the group.

Well before WhatsApp brought the ability to automatically disable notifications for larger groups. This was for Android approximately two weeks ago.
It is totally focused on reducing the number of notifications users receive from group chats every day. As group messages can be a disturbance for some. So this feature was introduced.

However, the mute shortcut feature for group chats is still under development. It is expected to release in a future update of the WhatsApp Desktop beta.
