  • In May, Vivo unveiled its most current premium flagship smartphones, the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro. The China-based company is rumoured to be introducing its next flagship series – Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro – by the end of this year or early next year. However, the company has not yet made any public announcements regarding the same.

Some of the Vivo X90 Pro’s most important features have been leaked by a Chinese tipster ahead of the device’s debut. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is likely to power the device.

Regarding the precise date of the X90 series’ formal introduction, Vivo has not yet provided any details. The series is likely to debut in November or December 2022. This will follow the release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is believed that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit in November will see the introduction of the flagship smartphone chip. Like its predecessor, which debuted in China in Q2 2022, the Vivo X90 series may make its debut in the first few months of 2019.

The recent rumour states that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power the Vivo X90 Pro. In addition, the tipster has disclosed a few other characteristics, including a bigger battery than the 4,700mAh capacity seen in the X80 series. Therefore, it is most likely that the X90 series will include a 5,000mAh battery and enable 100W fast charging. This is another improvement above the X80 series’ 80W fast charging.
