These Apple iOS 17 Features Surface Online In New Leaks After iOS 16

Apple brings new software updates every year so that users get new experiences on iPhone. The company launched iOS 16 last year, in which many explosive features were seen. Apple is now updating its iOS 17 software. Along with this, much other software will be released this year.

The company brings iOS, macOS and watchOS upgrades every year. Future versions are often referred to as TBAs by iPhone makers to hide their actual version numbers. According to the latest report by MacRumors, Apple has increased its internal testing of iOS 16.5. We can expect it to be one of the final significant updates before the announcement of iOS 17.

Apple iOS 17 Release Date:

Every year Apple launches a new operating system at WWDC in June. It tells what features will be available in it. iOS 17 will be presented at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2023 where iOS 17, macOS 14, BachOS 10, iPadOS 17 and tvOS 17 operating systems will be introduced. The company has not told anything about the release date. It is also not clear whether the event will be a hybrid in-person and virtual event like last year.

iOS 17 Features:

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple engineers have been focusing more on the headset. Its xrOS operating system gives less attention to iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. For that reason, we can expect fewer new features than we saw in iOS 16, which brought significant design and functionality updates.

CarPlay Updates

At the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple provided a preview of a new CarPlay experience. It has deeper integration with vehicles which allows can control of car functions like volume and the radio through CarPlay.

Support for the Mixed Reality Headset

Apple’s AR/VR headset will function on its own and will have its own App Store. But, there will be also some level of integration between the headset and the iPhone.

Interactive widgets

The new live notifications and Always-on screen features in iOS 16 are great. However, widgets should be more than just large information icons — we do wish they allowed us to tap and activate different app functions straight from the widget.
