According to the company, the Galaxy AI is a “comprehensive mobile AI experience”. It uses on-device AI created by Samsung and cloud-based AI enabled by collaborations with “like-minded industry leaders”.

The Samsung Galaxy AI can also translate calls in real-time with its AI Live Translate call feature to “give users a personal translator whenever they need it”. Due to the native integration, users will no longer need to rely on third-party apps.

The audio and text translations of the call will appear in real-time as you speak with the other person. You will also get the option to turn on closed captions for the call. All calls will remain private and will never leave your device.

The Galaxy AI is “coming early next year” and could make its debut on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. A recent report claimed the company wants to make the S24 lineup “the smartest AI phones ever” to compete against the Google Pixel 8 series.
