Samsung is expected to unveil its non-foldable flagship Galaxy S25 series early next year. Initially, there were rumours that these phones would use Exynos chipsets. However, a new Samsung Galaxy S25 leak suggests that all three models in the S25 lineup will exclusively feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors.

Samsung Galaxy S25 leak

The latest Samsung Galaxy S25 leak indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely retain a quad-camera setup similar to its predecessor.  However, it will feature major improvements in the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. The Ultra model is also expected to include UFS 4.1 storage, offering data transfer speeds of up to 8GB per second. This is a significant upgrade from the UFS 4.0 storage in the current Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which offers 4GB per second.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC is expected to improve generative AI functions by 30% compared to its predecessor. According to the Samsung Galaxy S25 leak, Qualcomm will provide a special version of the chip. This will offer overclocked GPU and CPU cores for the S25 Ultra, boosting its performance. This approach aligns with Samsung’s strategy to use only the highest-performance components, aiming to match the performance of Apple’s iPhone 16 A18 chip. Rumours suggest the Galaxy S25 series might be launched in January 2025.
