Last week in the UK, Samsung’s Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta program went live for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. The One UI 4.0 beta program brings Android 12 to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. The update is available via Samsung Members apps. Currently, the update appears to be open to all users with unlocked devices in the US. And the update will presumably be available in other countries also in some time.

Further, Samsung has declared its timeline for Android 12 updates. Both Galaxy Note 20 series and the Samsung Galaxy S20 series are scheduled to get updates in January. Apart from this, if someone still has not received the Android 12 and One UI 4.0 update, they can participate in the One UI 4.0 beta program by tapping on the One UI Beta Program banner in the Samsung Members app. However, it is essential to note that it is only open to the unlocked Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra units.

Once you get enrolled, you can navigate to the Settings > Software update menu on your device to download the first One UI 4.0 beta update. The same procedure applies to the Galaxy Note20 series as well. Regardless, it is worth noting that beta firmware is not as stable as the final builds, so the users should avoid it on primary devices.

Additionally, the Android 12 update available on Samsung Galaxy S20 comes with the latest privacy features. The features include the camera/mic indicators, Dynamic Color feature, and new Privacy Dashboard. Samsung has made a few more enhancements like dark mode on home screen icons, updated stock apps, and more.
