Samsung is gearing up to launch new budget smartphones under the F-series in India. The company is planning to launch Samsung Galaxy F42 5G sometime soon in India. This phone will be the fifth smartphone to launch in India under the F-series. However, it will be the first with 5G connectivity to launch in India. Now, Samsung has announced the launch of the GalaxyF42 in India on September 29, 2021. Moreover, this phone will be available to purchase via official channels as well as Flipkart.

Ahead of the launch, the device’s design and specifications were confirmed via Flipkart. The microsite confirms that the phone will launch in two colours – Black and Blue. It has a square-shaped camera module on the back. There is a triple-camera setup with an LED flash housing inside the module.

It also reveals a fingerprint scanner on the right side and features such as a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 90Hz Full-HD+ display. The phone will support 12 5G bands despite the connectivity option remains unavailable (commercially) in the country. According to leaks, it will come with a resolution of 1080 x 2009 pixels. So, we are looking at a Full-HD+ display. We can expect this to be an AMOLED display. The smartphone will also come with a waterdrop-style notch design. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is also listed on Geekbench with the MediaTek MT6833V chipset. Now, this particular processor has been identified as the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. In addition, this octa-core processor pairs up with 6GB of RAM. paired with 6GB of RAM. On the processor front, the smartphone will run on Android 11 OS with the One UI 3.1 custom skin on top. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G scores 558 points in the single-core tests and scores 1513 points in the multi-core tests.
