Samsung is gearing up for another mid-range 5G phone to its portfolio in the coming days – Samsung Galaxy A22 5G. In the latest development, a Geekbench listing suggests the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Moreover, it also shares a couple more possible specification details about the upcoming rumored phone. However, this is not the first time we are hearing of this device via leaks and rumors.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G Specifications (Leaked)
According to the Geekbench listing, it will use the latest MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. This SoC made its debut with the Reame 8 5G in India. In addition, it will soon come on the Oppo A53s 5G as well. Moreover, it seems Samsung will be the third brand to sign up for the hardware. Moving forward, the listing also tells us the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will come with 6GB RAM.

In terms of software, the phone runs on the One UI 3.1 version out of the box. It is built over the Android 11 operating system. The Geekbench scores also indicate the Samsung Galaxy A22 will mostly be the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A21. This is making it the most affordable 5G phone for the brand in the market.
Additionally, alleged renders of the Samsung Galaxy A22 shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer (@Onleaks) via Voice shows a notched display, triple rear cameras, 3.5mm audio jack, and a thick chin bezel. The phone can come with a 6.5-inch display and measure 167.2×76.4×8.7mm. It is likely to sport a 6.5-inch waterdrop notch display, with possible support for a 90Hz refresh rate.

As for cameras, a triple rear camera could be spearheaded by a 48MP primary sensor, along with smaller macro lenses in tow. And just like its predecessor, we expect the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G to pack a 5,000mAh battery at the least, with support for 15W fast charging. Going by all these possible features, we are hopeful that Samsung Galaxy A22 5G does not cost above Rs 15,000 in the current market.
