Earlier a few weeks ago, Asus ZenFone 8mini surfaced online on Geekbench. However, now a new listing on Geekbench mentions the Asus ZenFone 8 series. The device appears under the designation ASUS_I004D. According to some sources, it is a vanilla variant, according to others – a more powerful variant of ZenFone 8Pro.

Asus ZenFone 8/8 Pro Geekbench Listing
According to the benchmark, it talks about using the Lahaina motherboard. This codename hides the flagship platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The processor combines eight computing cores with a frequency of up to 2.84 GHz, an Adreno 660 accelerator. In addition, it also mentions a Snapdragon X60 5G modem.

The version also mentions 8GB of RAM. However, observers believe the Asus ZenFone 8 series devices will carry up to 16GB of RAM. The operating system is Android 11. Moreover, it supposedly, like its bigger brothers, will carry a Snapdragon 888 chip on board. The device has a 120Hz display and a PTZ camera.

As far as the actual ASUS ZenFone 8/8 Pro specifications go, there is very little information about that. We can expect it to pack a 6.67-inch (or larger) AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The company could even throw in a MEMC chip similar to the one found on the ROG Phone 5. In addition, a 64MP camera module could be included, too, alongside a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens.

Furthermore, considering the success of its predecessor’s flip camera design, it is unlikely that ASUS will ditch it on the ZenFone 8/ 8 Pro.
