Redmi has now confirmed the launch of its new model, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G series, in India. A smartphone teaser has also surfaced on the official website of Redmi. Although the teaser from Redmi has not specified the exact date of the launch. But tipster Mukul Sharma claims that it will probably be launched in the first week of January 2023.
The teaser of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series reveals that there will be three models will be launched. Additionally, they are made available in India. In China, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series includes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. Redmi Note 12 5G Specifications
In terms of specifications, the smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch Samsung OLED FHD+ display panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a punch-hole cutout made for a selfie snapper. Under the hood, it powers on the Snapdragon 4 SoC with an octa-core chipset. Moreover, it runs Android 12-based MIUI 13.
Meanwhile, Redmi Note 12 5G camera specs include a 48-megapixel main camera located on the rear side. The phone also has a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is an 8-megapixel selfie lens. Smartphone connectivity options include 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. In terms of battery, the new smartphone comes with a long-lasting 5,000 mAh.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Specifications
Just like the vanilla Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 variant, this smartphone is also a dual SIM (Nano) 5G smartphone that runs on Android-12-based MIUI 13. However, this smartphone powers on octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. It can be coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and Mali-G68 GPU.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G camera comes with a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with support for optical image stabilization. It comes alongside an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Moreover, the facing camera on the Redmi Note 12 Pro is a 16-megapixel selfie sensor.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G is similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G under the hood. However, it is sporting a 6.67-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display that supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
Unlike Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 vanilla variant, this Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G variant features a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS capabilities, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. At the same time, it houses a 16-megapixel sensor front camera. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
