A new report claims that MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 processor would power the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro Plus 5G in the next generation of Redmi K-series phones. For the first time, Qualcomm has released a 5G-ready chipset that uses the company’s most advanced 4nm manufacturing process.
In a recent Geekbench multi-core test, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 surpassed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Of course, we’ve been keeping an eye on Xiaomi’s Redmi K50 series for a while now, given the importance of the Xiaomi brand.
To begin with, Xiaomi has announced the Redmi K50 series, which will include four different handsets: the standard model, the pro version, the pro Plus version, and the gaming edition, the Xiaomi Redmi K50. Furthermore, depending on the model, the series is likely to support a variety of chipset combinations.

Dimensity 9000 SoC Expected for Redmi K50 Pro+
After launching in China, the Redmi K50 Pro+ will be available in other countries worldwide (likely under other brandings). According to a GizChina report, the phone, one of the top-tier models in the series, will have the Dimensity 9000 chipset.
The recently highlighted the chipset in an interview with Xioami’s Lu Weibing, a senior executive. At the same time, Xiaomi’s CEO didn’t specifically name the Redmi K50+ as the recipient of the new chipset. However, a guess can be there that the Redmi K50+ was the intended recipient.
This is MediaTek’s newest CPU, and it is built utilising the most up-to-date 4nm manufacturing technology. As a result, it has a lot of power and is quite efficient. Cortex-X2 super core, three A710 big cores, and four A510 small-core cores make up the processing unit. In addition, the Mali-G710 GPU is similar to this system CPU’s TSMC produced this silicon wafer.
