Realme launched its first-ever tablet Realme Pad in India back in 2021. It looks like the company is giving out pretty disappointing news. In a community post, FAQ pages confirmed that the tablet will not be getting the Android 12 update. To recall, the company launched it running on Android 11 based Realme UI skin on top. Although it looks like there might be a relief for the users.
Earlier, reports of Realme Pad not getting the Android 12 update disappointed many fans and users. However, it turns out Realme has now confirmed the tablet will be indeed be getting the Android 12 update after all. But the users will have to wait until Q3 2022 for the update. This means it will get the update between July and September. We believe there are very few chances it will be getting an Android 13 update in 2023.

Realme India’s VP and President Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to announce that the Realme Pad will receive the Android 12 update in the third quarter of 2022. Sheth included a link for the official announcement in his tweet that leads to a community forum post.
This saves a lot of users for the company as the latest Android update would bring a lot of users to choose the tablet. As companies like Nokia and Samsung have also confirmed that they will bring the Android 12 update to their devices. Realme Pad Features
The Realme Pad features a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ display with an 82.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, the display comes with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. comes with a light metallic body design.
On the processor front, the Realme Pad is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. The octa-core chipset comes with two Cortex A-75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Further, it comes with six Cortex A-55 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The chipset is coupled with the Mali-G52 GPU.

Moving to optics, the Realme Pad features a single 8-megapixel 105-degree ultra-wide-angle selfie sensor. The tablet also comes with a Dual-Mic Noise Cancellation feature for zero disturbances during video call sessions. On the software front, the tablet runs on Android 11 OS with the Realme UI for Pad custom skin on top. It also comes with Google Kids Space for ease of usage for kids. It also features AIoT fast unlock, screen mirroring and the Google Fast Pair features.
The tablet packs a 7,100mAh battery which claims to offer a standby time of 65 days. Furthermore, the chipset pairs up with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage in the Wi-Fi + 4G LTE variant. In the Wi-Fi only variant, the device comes in a single 3GB/32GB option.
