Nowadays, fast charging has become almost a default feature in many smartphones and what we are now seeing is an acceleration in the charging power. In simple language, higher power is the primary factor enabling faster charging. Realme, the Chinese smartphone brand said that it leads the smartphone industry with 240W fast charging technology. According to Counterpoint’s most recent research, Realme is staying true to its “Dare to leap” spirit by introducing fast-charging technologies.
The 240W fast charging technology will be introduced in the global markets with the launch of the Realme GT 3 on February 28, 2023, at the Mobile World Congress 2023.

According to Counterpoint’s research, Realme is the only brand to introduce 65W fast charging capabilities in sub-$150 smartphones with the Realme Narzo 20 Pro, in 2020 with a wholesale price of under $150. This continues Realme’s long history of offering the latest technology at lower price points and encouraging the smartphone industry to embrace it.
It adds that the brand was able to grab a market-leading 85% sales penetration of $100-$149 smartphone portfolio. It also features fast charging capability in 2022.

240W: Industry’s Highest Charging Standard
The 240W charging figure represents the highest standard of fast charging technology in the industry today.
The increase in power-delivering capabilities has reduced the charging time significantly, with more than 100W capable charging technology that can achieve full charge in 20–25 minutes.
Realme’s latest industry-first 240W power output is taking fast charging to the next level. It can charge from 1 to 20 per cent in 80 seconds, up to 50 per cent in 4 minutes, and a full charge in about 9 minutes.

Realme GT3 5G: Rumored Specifications
According to rumour, the smartphone packs in a 6.7-inch 1.5K 144Hz display. It will likely come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powering the flagship device. There are up to 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM configurations available as well.
As far as Cameras are concerned, we expect the smartphone to get a 50-megapixel+8-megapixel+2-megapixel camera at the back. There’s a 16-megapixel front camera.
