Realme 8i Key Specifications and Design Officially Revealed

Realme’s 8 series of devices have been all over the internet these past couple of days. The Realme 8i and Realme 8s have been scheduled to launch in India on September 9, 2021 at 12:30 PM IST. Meanwhile, the Realme Pad will reportedly be launching alongside the two devices as well. The company has now officially revealed the key specifications of the Realme 8i.

In addition, the company has put up a dedicated website for the upcoming device as well on their events page. The official launch poster of the device also reveals certain key design elements. So, we now know what to expect on the design front of the handset as well. Besides, going by previous leaks and reports, we know quite a bit about the device already. Without any further ado, here is what to expect from the upcoming Realme 8i.

Realme 8i: What To Expect?

For starters, we know that the Realme 8i will be the very first device to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. Now, this will be a powerful mid-ranger gaming chipset that can easily allow players to have a seamless gaming experience on their device. Further, the company has listed the complete specifications of the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. From the looks of it, this particular chipset will make the device a good gaming device.

Further, from previous leaks, we know that this octa-core chipset will pair up with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Now, the device will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 of internal storage. When it comes to the software, the Realme 8i will run on Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top.

Now, going by previous leaks and reports, the smartphone will come with a 6.59-inch Full-HD+ display. Additionally, the display will also come with a fast 120Hz refresh rate on a punch-hole design. Moving to optics, the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup. The setup will include a 108-megapixel primary rear camera sensor alongside two 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro shots, respectively.

When it comes to battery, the smartphone will pack a big 5000mAh battery. Lastly, the Realme 8i will measure 8.6mm in thickness and weigh 194 grams. Going by the official poster of the device, we can see a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. We can also see a left-aligned punch-hole display on the device.
