OnePlus launched the affordable version of its flagship series for the first time this year with the OnePlus 9R. However, it looks like they will not stop there – a report reveals that a OnePlus 9RT can come to the markets soon. This is interesting as the rumours of the T-series lineup cancelling surfaced online only weeks ago. Although with this new leak – it looks like the company might actually release one soon in India.

According to Android Central, citing insider sources, the next flagship will launch as the OnePlus 9RT. It will apparently launch in October. OnePlus 9RT Leaked Specifications
We can expect the smartphone to feature a punch-hole notch for the selfies camera, similar to the OnePlus 9 series. In terms of hardware, it will still have the OnePlus 9R specs as a base. It may feature the same 120Hz AMOLED display and Snapdragon 870 SoC. However, this smartphone will be more camera-focused in upgrades, according to the leaks.

It can pack UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM. The leakster also claims that the OnePlus 9RT will launch in three storage-memory configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. Unlike the OnePlus 9R, the phone could feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. The purported phone can also offer a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP B&W sensor.
Moreover, the OnePlus 9RT will be the first OnePlus phone to run on OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. However, it will still use ColorOS as the base. The skin might be closer and identical to ColorOS but will still have the OnePlus Launcher. Additionally, it can also add features like floating windows and some others similar to ColorOS 11. It will bring privacy-focused features like Private Safe, alerts when an app accesses clipboard contents, and more.
