Motorola’s flagship offering, the Edge 40 Pro, recently debuted in the European and Latin American markets. However, the vanilla version of the smartphone, the Motorola Moto Edge 40, was not launched at the same time. But now, the Motorola Edge 40 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing some key hardware specifications ahead of the launch.
While the phone has not been officially launched in India, it is expected to arrive in the country soon. However, a specific timeline for the release has not been official yet.

Motorola Edge 40: Geekbench Score
The phone has managed to score 1105 points in the single-core round and 3542 points in the multi-core segment. The motherboard section in the Geekbench listing mentions the phone would come with Iyriq. Which could be associated with the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. Moreover, according to the listing spotted by Pricebaba, the Motorola Edge 40 will come with Android 13 OS out of the box and 8GB of RAM. However, there could be other options available at launch.
Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Motorola Edge 40 is likely to sport a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1200nits peak brightness. The phone is to come with a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Powering the Motorola Edge 40 is the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, which will come with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Previous reports suggested the phone would come with the Dimensity 8020 SoC. However, this has now been clarified through the Geekbench listing.
