Vivo, the Chinese smartphone brand, is all set to unveil its latest foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 2, on April 20, 2023, in China. Ahead of its official launch, the smartphone has allegedly appeared on the benchmarking website Geekbench, hinting at its key specifications.
As per the listing, the Vivo X Fold 2 could be the first foldable phone to debut with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device is expected to feature an octa-core processor, with one high-performance core with a maximum clock speed of 3.19GHz. Along with Four cores capped at 2.8GHz, and three cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.02GHz.

Vivo X Fold 2: Geekbench
The Geekbench listing suggests that the Vivo X Fold 2 will come with 12GB of RAM and run on Android 13. In terms of performance, the device has reportedly scored 1,809 points in single-core testing and 5,050 points in multi-core testing.
Specifications
The Vivo X Fold 2 is to feature a 2K AMOLED E6 inner foldable display and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader for authentication. The device is rumoured to offer 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Vivo will launch the Vivo X Fold 2 alongside the Vivo X Flip and Vivo Pad 2 on April 20, 2023, in China. The launch event will begin at 7:00 pm in China. Ahead of the launch, the brand has been actively teasing the design of foldable phones via Weibo. The Vivo X Fold 2 appears in a red shade with a circular-shaped rear camera module.
The Vivo X Fold 2 is likely to be a strong contender in the foldable smartphone market. It will be interesting to see how it performs against other foldable devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Huawei.
