Earlier this year, iQOO launched its iQOO 8 series. It consists of two flagship smartphones in the lineup. However, the iQOO 8 series is still waiting to be launched in India soon. Meanwhile, an iQOO 9 have already started appearing online. But a new moniker has surfaced online – iQOO 9 Pro.
Ahead of the launch of the iQOO 8 series in India, the next-generation iQOO 9 Pro Indian variant has surfaced through IMEI certification. The phone carries model number I2022 which indicates that the device will go official next year. Unfortunately, the IMEI database listing doesn’t reveal much else about the phone just yet.

iQOO 8 Pro Specifications
Now, let us recall the specs of its predecessor, iQOO 8 Pro powers on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. It comes along with Adreno 660 GPU. It packs 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, the phone runs on Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0 custom skin out of the box. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast-charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. We can expect the same or an upgraded specs from the iQOO 9 Pro.

Meanwhile, the iQOO 8 Legend smartphone’s launch date for the Indian market is unknown. The device is expecting to be released before Diwali, which implies it might be released by the end of October or early November. We can expect the launch of iQOO 9 Pro by 2022.
