iQOO has recently unveiled the iQOO 8 5G launch date to be August 4 via a post on Weibo. Moreover, a couple of noted tipsters also took to the internet to confirm the launch date as August 4 at 12PM CST. This converts to 10:30PM in the Indian Standard Time (IST). Now, a new leak has surfaced online which reveals the charging specifications of the upcoming iQOO smartphone.

According to the latest leaks, the iQOO 8 will reportedly pack a the world’s fastest charging speed seen on a smartphone. A leaked poster of the iQOO 8 has surfaced online and it reveals the device to feature the company’s proprietary FlashCharge charging tech. However, the charging speed of the device was under wraps. Now, a report by MyDrivers suggests that the smartphone will come with a whopping 160W fast charging support.
Furthermore, the report suggests that the fastest charging tech will charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in just 12 minutes. However, no confirmation has been received from the company’s side of things. So, this is definitely to be taken with a pinch of salt. If this is to be believed, the upcoming iQOO 8 will definitely release as the fastest charging device on the planet. In other news, Xiaomi is working on their proprietary 200W HyperCharge technology as well. Moreover, the Xiaomi 200W HyperCharge tech will enter commercial production next year.

iQOO 8 Specifications (Expected)
Going by the leaks of Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 8 will come with a QHD+ display resolution. Additionally, on the processor front, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. If this is to be believed, it will become the very first phone to come with this chipset. Additionally, the flagship octa-core chipset will most likely pair up with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. We will most likely see 4GB of extended virtual RAM as well on the device.
When it comes to software, the iQOO 8 will reportedly run on Android 11 OS. Besides, we can also expect to see a better camera setup on the device than its predecessor, the iQOO 7.
