Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max may be the first phones to feature an always-on display. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the always-on display function on locked iPhone 14 Pro models running iOS 16 will display restricted information. The Apple iPhone 14-series display design also appears in an alleged Apple paid commercial. We’ve already seen complete renders of the 14 Pro, and this leak appears to match the photos.

The iPhone 14’s release date, on the other hand, can delay owing to production issues in China. A better, more expensive selfie camera with focusing is expecting to be present in the iPhone 14 series. The Pro models are expecting to contain a 120Hz display and satellite connectivity.
iPhone 14 Pro Models Always-On Display
According to Gurman, smartphones will include an always-on display, similar to the Apple Watch Series 5, that will display limited information while the phone is locked, similar to the Apple Watch Series 5. To save energy, Apple will lower the frame rate of the lock screen and offer an always-on setting.
It’s unclear whether the handset would feature the same LTPO display as Apple’s latest Watch versions. Using these low-power displays could enable the always-on functionality perform effectively while without draining the device’s battery.
Gurman says that both the smartphones running on iOS 16 will get this feature, and yes, it will be an exclusive feature. Further, the always-on display could show the time, battery level, and wallpapers with ‘widget-like capabilities.’ The same was said with the Apple iPhone 13-series, but that didn’t happen.

Apple Archive Thai, a YouTube channel, discloses the iPhone 14 Pro’s display design modifications in a 15-second leaked footage of a bogus Apple Pay commercial. Because the clip’s authenticity is in dispute, we advise you to take it with a grain of salt.
The video shows a pill-shaped notch and a circular camera cutout, which match the leaked mockups and CAD renders we posted earlier. To confirm the alleged design improvements, we’ll have to wait till Apple releases the iPhone 14-series.
