iPhone 13 rumors are rife considering its launch is inching closer as September 14th is almost here. However, Apple is yet to confirm the launch date and its timeline for these models. Ahead of the official confirmation, some key details of the new series have leaked online. Now, in a recent leak, Apple’s new series will have a larger wireless charging coil on the back.

The video leak shows the use of larger wireless charging coil on the iPhone 13 compared to the iPhone 12. Such a coil, if it makes its way to the new iPhone, will have some obvious performance impacts. To recall, Apple introduced magnetic wireless charging on the iPhone 12 series. Thanks to it, the users could recharge their device battery with a charging speed of up to 15W. However, Everything Apple Pro and Max Weinbach claim that the upcoming 2021 iPhone models are likely to get slightly larger coils.

For better understanding, a larger wireless charging coil will undoubtedly result in a faster wireless charging rate on the iPhone 13. In addition, the coil can also result in much better heat management from wireless charging on the new iPhone. Whereas, speculations of its use in another way are also rife. It is believed that with the larger coil, Apple could finally bring reverse charging support to its iPhone lineup. This means that the iPhone 13 series devices (or at least some models on them) could possibly charge other Qi products like AirPods. However, it is likely to be limited to reverse charge AirPods with wireless charging cases, Apple Watch.
Meanwhile, rumors of the battery capacity increasing for the new iPhone 13 models are also surfacing online. According to the leak, the Pro Max will pack a 4,352 mAh battery as opposed to the 3,687 mAh battery on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Whereas, iPhone 13, iPhone 13Pro will have a 3,095 mAh battery. Lastly, the iPhone 13mini will pack a 2,406 mAh battery. It is marginally bigger than the 2,227 mAh cell on the iPhone 12 mini.

The four iPhone 13 models are expecting to launch during the third week of September. Until then let us keep it as assumptions and wait for confirmation.
