  • The Huawei P60 series which includes the Huawei P60 and Huawei P60 Pro will likely launch in March this year. The brand’s next-generation P series flagship smartphones will debut as the successor to the Huawei P50 series. The P50 series was launched in Chinese markets in July 2022. Moreover, the latest report revealed the launch date and key specifications of the upcoming lineup ahead of its launch.

    As per the report by Mydrivers quoting tipster @Factory Director on Weibo, the P60 series could launch with the vanilla Huawei P60 and Huawei P60 Pro models by March 2023. Additionally, the handsets are to come with improved cameras, batteries and displays compared to their predecessors.     As per the report, the Huawei P60 Pro could feature a 4G version of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. Moreover, it will likely support a 5,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The handset will feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 1,440×3,200 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the smartphone will utilise high-frequency PWM dimming of 1,920Hz. The report further suggests that the display panel is sourced from BOE.

    Regarding camera configuration, the Pro model will likely feature a triple rear camera unit including a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX888 sensor. Along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX858 sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with an OmniVision OV64B.

    The Huawei P60 will likely feature a triple rear camera unit, including a 52-megapixel IMX789 sensor. Along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide IMX858 sensor and a 16-megapixel tele camera IMX351 sensor. Moreover, both handsets will feature an in-house XMAGE imaging system. An earlier tip suggested that the handset will feature a Kirin 9100 SoC. However, a recent tip reveals that the Huawei P60 series will feature a 4G variant of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC on both the base and pro models.

    However, the company has made no official confirmation on the specifications, features, or launch timeline of the Huawei P60 series smartphones, as of yet.
