Google claims that the 5G OTA update for Google Pixel devices will be available in Q1 2023. The brand is one of the last smartphone manufacturers in India to enable 5G network connectivity on its devices. It was reportedly planning to release an update to enable 5G capabilities by December, but now it has been delayed. However, users with Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2 update on their Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 7 devices are reportedly able to use Jio and Airtel 5G networks. It is a beta update and the company will likely release a stable version to all users in the coming weeks.

5G Support On Pixel Devices
The most recent beta software update, allow users to enjoy a low-latency 5G network with faster download and upload speeds. As per a report by TelecomTalk, the Google Pixel 6a, Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro users with the latest Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2 update can use Airtel and Jio 5G networks in India. Furthermore, the company claims that its smartphones will support 5G networks in India with an upcoming update. The 5G-enabling OTA update will come sometime in Q1 2023 according to the company.
Moreover, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi flagged off the 5G services rollout in India on October 1, 2022. During the India Mobile World Congress event. Following the announcement, major telecom operators like Airtel and Jio have started rolling out 5G services across the country. Others like Vodafone Idea (Vi) and BSNL will follow suit, soon enough. And hopefully, the Pixel devices may soon be able to support 5G network connectivity.
