Huawei seems to be gearing up to launch another one of their foldable phones. It is not clear whether the smartphone will release in this year itself. However, Huawei has filed for the patent of this mysterious foldable smartphone. Moreover, the company has filed for the patent of this smartphone at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), reports 91Mobiles.
Going by the design renders of the Huawei foldable phone, it will come with an outward fold design. Additionally, the outward fold design comes with a crease exactly in the foldable middle. Moreover, the design reveals that the smartphone comes with a quad rear camera setup. Furthermore, a protruding rectangular camera module houses the quad rear camera setup in the device.

An interesting thing to note here is that the upcoming Huawei foldable smartphone brings a unique solution of reducing thickness to the table. Going by the images, the smartphone has a cutout on the right side while the left side has the protruding camera setup. Now, when the device folds, the camera setup gets housed within this cutout. Furthermore, this efficiently reduces the overall thickness of the device.
Huawei Foldable Phone: What More?
Going by the structure of foldable smartphones, they wobble when they are placed on a flat surface. However, this particular design of the upcoming Huawei foldable gets rid of that issue. The camera setup effectively sets in the cutout which allows the smartphone to be very well balanced.

However, only time will tell whether this solution effects the display of the foldable smartphone in any way. Moreover, another benefit that this particular design brings to the table is protection of the camera setup. The cutout will effectively protect the camera lenses from scratches during drops or falls. Sadly, we do not know anything else about the device. However, it may launch as a successor to the Huawei Mate X. Moreover, the design showcases the kind of unique designs the company has at hand.
