Redmi smartphones not getting MIUI 12.5 update in India
The most satisfying thing about the update is apparently the capability for users to uninstall the system apps. We also heard previously that three-year-old Poco F1 would also be getting the MIUI 12.5 update. Now the brand has planned and rolled out a list of the phones not getting an update. Redmi Note 7 lineup, Redmi 7 and 7A, alongside the Redmi Y3, are the handsets that will no more receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India.

The company currently is paying attention to software support, and it is facing issues with updating its devices. As per a report by FoneArena, Xiaomi announced the same on Mi Fans Home, its official Telegram channel. Besides, all the smartphones mentioned are just two years old and were launched in the year 2019. And now that these phones will not receive any MIUI 12.5 updates, it appears to be less possibility of getting the MIUI 13.
Apart from this, Xiaomi has not yet announced its MIUI 13 rollout plan. The company will probably declare it in the following months. Until then, the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro users have to switch to other phones for better performance.
