Rockstar Games has finally released the trailer for GTA 6, marking the announcement of the instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series. Grand Theft Auto VI is the sequel to GTA 5, the second-best-selling video game of all time.

GTA 6 is set in Vice City, a fictional city that draws its inspiration from Miami. The game has two playable protagonists. Here is everything we know from the GTA 6 Trailer Release.
GTA 6 Returns To Vice City Featuring Two Protagonists
The GTA 6 trailer posted on YouTube introduces the first female protagonist in the series, Lucia. It starts with Lucia sitting in prison at the beginning of the trailer and shows how Lucia and her boyfriend Jason pull off various heists, Bonnie and Clyde style.

Jason is the second playable protagonist in the sequel to GTA 5. Furthermore, the GTA 6 trailer showcases various locations of Vice City, with the song “Long is a Long Road” by Tom Petty playing in the background.

“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.
In a press release, the Rockstar Games states, “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet”.

After a leak revealed the trailer for GTA 6 on X (Formerly Twitter), Rockstar Games posted, “Our Trailer has leaked, so please watch the real thing on YouTube”.
GTA VI To Release In 2025 On Consoles
Grand Theft Auto VI will launch in 2025 on the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5. However, there is no mention of a PC release date, meaning the game could arrive first on consoles and later on PCs.

This is similar to previous trends followed by the developer, where games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V debuted on consoles first, with a PC port released a year later.
Furthermore, the preorders for GTA 6 are likely to start on December 12, according to previous leaks. The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most popular video game franchises, with GTA 5 selling more than 300 million copies to date.
