Flipkart UPI Launched In India: Features, Eligibility

Flipkart has introduced a new UPI service in India, offering a new way for its users to perform digital payments in the country. The Flipkart UPI can be used online and offline. It is currently available for Android users and will soon roll out to iOS devices. Here is everything you need to know about the Flipkart UPI service.

Flipkart UPI Debuts In India With Offers

Flipkart has launched its Flipkart UPI service to offer users a convenient way to perform transactions online and offline. Furthermore, this service will be available in collaboration with Axis Bank, allowing customers to make bill payments and fund transfers from the Flipkart app.

The launch of Flipkart UPI service will make it compete with Amazon Pay, Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm. Moreover, Flipkart UPI can be used for making bill payments, mobile recharge, purchasing products, and payment for services.

Users can also use Flipkart UPI offline by scanning QR codes similar to any other UPI app. As part of the launch offer, the company offers benefits like supercoins, cashback and vouchers for users using Flipkart UPI.

Furthermore, users can earn ten super coins on their five payments on a minimum amount of Rs.100. You can also receive a Rs.25 discount on your first Flipkart order.

How To Register For The UPI?

To register for Flipkart UPI at launch, open the Flipkart app and access the Flipkart UPI banner. You need to link your bank account by selecting your bank. Just follow the steps to link your account, and you are ready.

Flipkart will send an SMS for verification and activate the UPI service. You can now send and receive payments using Flipkart UPI, and there are no additional charges for bill payments.

The launch of Flipkart UPI comes at a time when apps like Paytm are under scrutiny from RBI and other government authorities for alleged money laundering. It is expected to heat up the competition and offer users new payment methods.
