Krafton rolled out the Battlegrounds Mobile India beta on June 21. Moreover, today, the official game has finally rolled out for download and install. When the beta release was announced, players were worried about their old PUBG Mobile account. No one was sure about whether the game would allow players to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile. However, it indeed came true and players were allowed to do so.
However, a day or two later, reports of Battlegrounds Mobile India sending back player’s data to China surfaced online. This led to a lot of tension in the gaming community. In fact, many players are playing the game day in and day out to enjoy each and every aspect of the game in case it gets banned soon.

To counter this, Krafton has announced that the data transfer feature from PUBG Mobile to Battlegrounds Mobile India will be shut down. However, this is temporary and players will most likely be able to retrieve their previous data afterwards. The shutdown process of the data transfer feature will start from July 6. Nothing has been revealed about when the feature will come back again.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Data Transfer Service: What Else?
The Battlegrounds Mobile India data transfer service basically allows players to retrieve data from their PUBG Mobile accounts. Furthermore, this data includes their achievements, rank, skins, inventory items and more. The benefit of this feature is that a player’s progress in the PUBG Mobile game does not go to waste. Moreover, many YouTubers and content creators who had spent hefty amounts on the game get their money’s worth back.

However, things backfired for Krafton when reports of Battlegrounds Mobile India sending data to China, Hong Kong, US and Moscow servers surfaced online. However, Krafton cleared things out by stating that it knows about the recent data sharing issues. Moreover, the company claims to have taken care of the problem by rolling out a small update. The update basically prevents data from being shared with Chinese servers by removing these servers.
