If reports are believed, the Apple iPhone 14 will be a significant upgrade over previous models. Rumours abound that the iPhone 14 will feature a 48-megapixel camera on its rear system. According to one of the leaks from September last year, iPhone 14 will be the first in years to do away with the camera bump. However, a new leak contradicts this, claiming that the bump will be even bigger due to the 48-megapixel sensor.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, the iPhone 14 Pro will have more prominent camera bump than Apple iPhone 13 Pro. According to Kuo, the change, which contradicts a small portion of previous leaks, could be due to improvements, such as a 48-megapixel camera sensor in a more significant form factor.
While some reports suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would have a single punch-hole. A more significant portion indicated that Apple might be planning a new design. Which will come in a pill-shaped cutout and a punch-hole would sit next to each other on display.
According to the same rumours, this configuration would allow Apple to easily replace Face ID sensors. He claims that the diagonal length of the 48-megapixel sensor. It will increase by 25 to 35 per cent. The height of the 7P lens will increase by 5 to 10 per cent.

Kuo’s prediction regarding the change in camera design opposed what leaks last year stated. According to rumours from September of last year, the iPhone 14 and Apple iPhone 14 Pro will not have a camera bump, will have a punch-hole design instead of a notch, and will have a rounded volume button like the old iPhone 4 will use a titanium chassis.
These are significant changes, but some of them may realize because Apple does not make substantial design changes all at once. On the other hand, Kuo believes that while the camera bump will remain, it will be more visible than ever before.
It’s unclear whether Apple ditched the design. The rumours suggested last year in favor of a more familiar one or if a redesign like that was never in the cards in the first place. In any case, the iPhone 14 will still feature some design changes. It’s just that, based on what Kuo said, they might not be as radical as they once were.
The camera bump may go unnoticed because its design is nearly identical to iPhone 13. One difference could be the most significant. Instead of a notch, the iPhone 14 is expected to have a punch-hole design.
