Reliance Jio is apparently all set to launch its latest Jio Wi-Fi Mesh Router. A recent leak reveals the expected price and dimensions of this new router online. Moreover, this comes amidst the testing of a mesh network-based offering by Jio in India.

Leaked images of this new router show that it is designed by Karnataka-based electronics manufacturer called Neolync Electronics. In addition, the router will work with separate mesh nodes to provide enhanced internet coverage.
Moreover, Jio Fiber customers can get some new broadband plans that would work with its mesh offering. This will give them a unified experience and high-speed connectivity at their homes.
Telecom Talk, a telecom focussed blog, spotted the Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router listed at Rs 2,499 on the Smart Consumer website. It has a Jio logo on top and includes indicators to provide the status of Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity. Meanwhile, this particular site has the backing of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

This is not the first time that Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router is in news for its impending launch. “Enjoy the best Jio WiFi Mesh experience in every room of your home with JioWiFiMesh service,” the company stated on its website. A YouTube video in September last year gives us a glimpse of Jio’s mesh service experience.
Smart Consumer site also shows that the Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router is available on a pan-India basis. However, there is no such information on the official Jio site.
Airtel is also offering a mesh technology which it calls Airtel Xstream Fiber Mesh. It offers a mesh system with three nodes that are supposed to cover an area of 3,500 square feet.
